Kenyans have to show the proof. If indeed Sharif Ahmed's private deal with the Kenyans is different from the public stance, he will be in a political hot seat. And if it isn't Sharif Ahmed, who in TFG gave the Kenyans the authorization. When Ethiopia invaded Somalia, it went through the process of getting authorization from IGAD, AU and UN. Kenya did not do that. The onus is on them to show the evidence.

 

Al Shabab are nasty terrorists. As far as I know, they are not pirates.

First he supports the Kenyan incursion, welcomes Kenyan ministers to his house, and all of the sudden makes a statement that nobody has an idea of where it came from. Wey kasoo fakatay duqa. A, if he is against the incursion, he should've said so in the first place and he shouldn't have agreed to the written pact. B, He should oppose this in a proper legal way, contact the UN.

 

Did anybody actually listen to Yusuf Haji's outburst on the BBC? "Maybe Shariifka supports Al-Shabaab" kulahaa :D

Interesting, did the Brits invade Somalia when that couple got kidnapped? Did the countless Western ships who have been targeted call for a ground invasion because of the disruptions? Territorial integrity and a full scale incursion isn't as light a matter as you are portraying it. Nothing Kenya experienced justified it either. This is not to mention there is no evidence that the whole pretext of this war is even legitimate. Even MSF has questioned the Kenyan claims and those are their workers. The old lady was not kidnapped by alShabaab, and this is a fact that is well acknowledged. So again its not as clear cut as you are portraying it, and the possible negatives that could occur from this ill thought move are countless.

 

Sharif is right to oppose, and I think the MP's in question have an agenda that has triggered this emotional outburst lol.

Very well said G/cost. I am mostly surprised by the lack of other NFD somali "leaders" failure to raise an objection to the breach of the somalia teritorial integrity and voice their concerns about it. Surely the greater NFD leaders should have been consulted over this as it affects their region more. Its a disgrace wallahi.

For your information, the western countries you mentioned don't live side by side with Al-Shabaab, they don't share a 1k kilometer long border with khawaariij group that kill for fun. Kenya is doing the right thing destroying Shabaab's bases in the Jubba and Gedo areas.The last soft side I had for these Keligii Muslims was gone by the day they killed 60 Somali innocent children and claimed it arrogantly.

 

For those of you who are fast giving credit to Shariif Canbe for this late and questionable protest, please note that he is against the Kenyan incursion because he opposes Azania. If Kenya agrees not to create/help the creation of Azania, the Sharif will be more than happy with the Kenyan military actions. Just saying.
