Somaliland Youth umbrella donates $2000 to Dilla-Borama road Rehabilitation

Hargeisa (JSLTimes)-Somaliland youth umbrella by the name of ‘SONYO’ donates $2000 as a gesture of taking part rebuilding the country and participating the country’s socio-economic development.

 

According to SONYO said that they donated the money as solidarity in providing the assistance of the project of DIlla-Borama road building.

 

A well-organized ceremony was held in Hotel Rays in Borama and it was attended by the chairman of ASARDA which is in charge of rehabilitation of the road connecting Dilla and Borama Mr. Hassan Ali, the director of SONYO Mr.Saiid Mohamed Ahmed, head of SONYO programs Mr. Adnan Abdi Hasan, and senior member of SONYO Mr. Cateeye, other SONYO staff and other guests.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, the director of SONYO Mr. Saiid Mohamed Ahmed said that SONYO donated this money as a gesture of cooperation and taking part in country’s development.

 

He urged and further called upon that everyone should donate one dollar that can make a huge difference in Dilla to Borama road rehabilitation.

 

Chairman of ASARDA Mr. Hasan Ali who also spoke indebted SONYO for their donation in playing a loins share when it comes to Somaliland development.

 

He further remarked that it was a pleasure for Somaliland youth extending a helping hand to the development of the country.

 

He urged that Somaliland community should donate one dollar that could make a big difference to the road rehabilitation between Dilla and Borama.

 

Finally, the chairman of ASARDA received the amount of money donated by SONYO.

3 Major road Constructions are taking place as we speak the one that connects Borama and Dila and the one that should Connect Burco And hargeysa and the one that Connects Djibouti and western Somaliland.The next decade the focus will be on pure development especially infrastructure in Somaliland.

President of SomCable Mr. Mohamed Aw-Said Donates $10,000 to Hargeisa-Burco Road Rehabilitation

 

HARGEISA (SomalilandPress)—The president of SOMCABLE Mr. Mohamed Aw-Said today said that his firm has donated $10,000 for the rehabilitation of Hargeisa-Burco road that has been neglected by both the government and business sector for years. Mr. Aw-Said informed the press at a ceremony held in at Shiraaqle hotel Hargeisa that his contribution to rebuild the Hargeisa-Burco road will encourage others to donate towards this worthy cause. The Hargeisa-Burco road is in dreadful condition that trips between the two cities takes a minimum 5 hours due to the bad situation of the road. The management of the Hargeisa-Burco rehabilitation foundation thanked Mr. Mohamed Aw-Said Geddie for his benevolence contribution.
