Carafaat Posted January 11, 2012 yes, on many economic indicators the situation of Somalia improved after the collapse of the Goverment. Does it suprise you? Somalia was a socialistic state with many obstacles for trade, acces to radio/tv/telephone, etc. But also because of urbanisation after goverment collapse many got acces to health, sanitation, etc. The goverment collapse was in many ways good for the poor if you look at some of the indicators. check pag. 12 of the article.
