Makhir as a state will never work. But there is something else that works for Reer Makhir, i.e being part of Puntland and somaliland,and unlike reer sool, Makhir's understood well the Pseudo governments of their Neighboring clans. Badhan is Testimony to this, as it's the only Town where you have Puntland Darawis and Somaliland Military bases next to each other ,and the highest officials from both sides chewing Mira together . you ask them how come you guys get so well together ? and they tell you sx xaga iyo xaga midna wax majiraan!, we all have to earn and feed our families in peace!I respect and admire that . As for the Makhir state , i think it's gonna be a dream unless the reconstruction of Lasqoray Jetty project is achieved and the state becomes financially able to feed it's inhabitants.
