Borama (JSLTimes)-Minister of information and national guidance Mr. Ahmed Abdi Haabsade today unveils that huge radio will be brought to the country within the forthcoming October, and people throughout the country will listen wherever they are.

The minister told this at a press conference held at RAYS hotel in Borama, the capital of Awdal province while the ministry is in the region.

The minister assured that the radio will reach the country shortly, the government of Somaliland and the people were awaiting the radio to be brought to the country as soon as possible.

The minister speaking at the press conference said that the radio will take part when it comes to the development of the country. He further added that his ministry has made the right progress and they will continue.

The minister urged reporters from Awdal region that they should serve for the people in good manner, guide the people towards progress, and remain vigilant when it comes to those people who wish to harm the country and the people.

The current radio owned by the government of Somaliland is not listened throughout the country due to short wave length.

Previous administration led by the former president Riyale did many attempts to buy and bring a radio with large wave length to the country but all their attempts did not work.

If the current administration led by incumbent president Siilaanyo achieves to bring the radio to the country, it will allow the government to reach large audiences in nationwide and this will also give the government to inform its policies and programs to the public.
