Baashi Posted August 31, 2011 My man Mark Fiora pulls a timely satire on the black president who kept his distance -- ignoring Somalia. Something ain't right. Remember "We are the World" and how A list celebrities in Hollywood put the situation in Ethiopia on the spotlight! Remember the pivotal role politicians in the West played at the national level (not NGOs) back then. Remember the great length White House (in transition at the time) went to underscore the benevolent role the sole super power will play in the unipolar world order. Forward the clock and take a stock how the dire situation in Somalia is treated. The concern at the Potomac river is one of national security. Terrorism colors all the goings in Somalia. Obama -- all he is good at is sending cruise missiles at Somalia direction! We are displeased with you Mr. Obama. http://www.markfiore.com/political-cartoons/watch-somalia-famine-al-shabab-obama-un-hunger-relief-animated-video-mark-fiore-animation
Baashi Posted September 7, 2011 Obama admin donated meager US$ 90 million according to a lady (reping some NGO) interviewed by CNN's Anderson on September 6th. UK donated US$86 mil and France donated US$6 mil. We thank them for the donations. But really! Biggest economies in the world in their infinite wisdom adopted a policy of denying aid to starving population because admins in charge think that they may inadversely strength an isurgency they trying to defeat. How cruel!
