U forget that Somaliland is poor unrecognized country, which 50% of its own ppl lives under poverty line. And u forget that sl it self had same problems with drought early this year, but thanks to Allah and well prepared government and its people, their early warning system works and because they didn't waiting so-call international community they are better off now.

Better yet, what if the whole population in Hargeisa and the surrounding cities/towns/villages stop chewing the green leaves for only 48hrs? There is no doubt in my mind the amount of Eurodollars raised would have increased tenfold. But the question is, can the Dubaab addicts show mass tolerance for that short period? (For these who have no idea of what Dubaab is, it is transitory lower abdominal pain experienced by addict communities and caused by missing kat chewing sessions for at least two days or more).

 

Or better yet, why wouldn’t the Hargeisa Regional Administration of Somalia hire a team of Somali doctors (medical students and or graduates of Amount University) and dispatch them to the Banadir feeding centres? I am sure if the situation was reversed a lot of masago, moos, banbeelo, macsaro, canbe and a dozen teams from Mogadishu U would have come to the aid of their Somali brothers and sisters in the North.
