Che -Guevara Posted August 10, 2011 ^Digir is raw while canbuulo is boiled or cooked hence boiled digir is called canbuulo.
Aaliyyah Posted August 10, 2011 ^loool we call it digir and many southerns call it "canbuulo"...I thought that was the only distinction. n clearly ppl cook it. lol lmao@ raw! can't imagine eating raw digir!..
Che -Guevara Posted August 10, 2011 ^Everyone calls it digir, only when it's cooked it becomes a canbuulo.

Aaliyyah Posted August 10, 2011 lol ok now we are getting somewhere..I CAN ONLY speak for what we call it - my family being reer waqooyi! and I have heard some neighbors calling it canbuulo (bt will ask them next time if they call it digir when it is not cooked..an interesting point u raised..ma xuma in wax la korarsado..thanks) salaam p.s finally reached 7000 posts..yay! gonna take a break from SOL now

A_Khadar Posted August 10, 2011 ^^ Alliyah, I think Che is taking advantage from your limited Somalia ling.. Did you confirmed that you not "Say Walaahi" group yesterday.lol.. I never heard Digir being uncooked and Canbuulo cooked. I am with Alliyah on this, it's interchangable term regarless of raw/cooked.. Dikir is a term known from North to all the way to Hiiran and I think if you go deep south you always heard cabuulo, canbuulo no Digir reference.. At least Kista kuma maqal digir....
