Twenty years after Somaliland’s self-declared independence it remains unrecognised despite progress in security, development and democracy. The meeting will explore perceptions of Somaliland’s place in the world from European, African and Somaliland perspectives.

The road to recongnition leads through Somalia. Therefore they should explore how Somaliland is perceived by Somalia and Somali's. And how they could change or influence those perceptions.
