NASSIR Posted July 28, 2011 Thankful, I don't think Atam is the victor here. But you should support the peace process even if Puntland doesn't like it.
General Duke Posted July 28, 2011 Galgala was never an issue but a village in Bari which became occupied by a terror agent for Al Shabaab he has been defeated and now is seeking peace. Nothing major here, Al Shabaab have been on the back heel for a while now. As for Ufain & Garowe drilling that has nothing to do with this issue and aside from the stories some are making up as a last straw. Now peace with locals and peace for the villages are important for Puntland. Oil exploration is good for Puntland. And thus Siilanyo sending his minister of Tourism, wow what a title to covet and one that led to the attempted sale of ones people highlights the involvement of the secessionist as we have known. Carafaat Posted July 28, 2011 Oil does not bring Peace but rather inflames more chaoas in a region in dire need of Peace.
General Duke Posted July 28, 2011 ^^ how do you know that Oil will not bring peace? Envy is a weakness and a great sin.
NASSIR Posted July 28, 2011 Duke, If you can't grasp the Somali articles you post, then it's a waste of time to teaching one of his own mother tongue let alone debating on this issue. Faroole's mouthpiece Garoweonline has published a press release calling Atam's group a different than we get accustomed to hearing from them. It was just early of this year that mouthpiece reported Atam was injured and fled to Bur'o town - celebration of an early win in a complex issue of human disaster. General Duke Posted July 28, 2011 ^^^Nassir adeer spare us the waffle. Attam has long been defeated, its the government that has won the day and forced a Carthaginian peace on the supporters of the agent of Al Shabaab. Your usual over the top emphasis and hyping up of the importance of your sub group aside there is nothing new here and the oil exploration will not be stopped because of these noted delusions. After Puntland waged a war for more then a year against Atam and his local supporters, Puntland goverment has officialy anounced that they are negoitiating peace with locals. You cant pretend that peace has been forced upon. Reality looks very diffrent from what you are suggesting.
General Duke Posted July 30, 2011 Puntland is seeking to save the remaining local youths who have been brainwashed by the cult of Al Shabaab. However Attam is today in a less secure position that last yer when he used to give interviews every other day and act tough. Now he is in hiding and others speak for him and so on. I would say he is in a less position to show his face than at any time in the past.
Carafaat Posted July 30, 2011 Atam and the Highlanders called for peace negoitiations last year. Puntland refused back then and called him a terrorist. Atam is not the one who made a U-turn here.
