Hargeisa

(JSLTimes.com) -The organizers of Hargeisa International Book fair launch the

official opening of the fisrt day.

 

The

Book fair will last for four days as planned by the organizing committee.

 

The

event was attended by high profile figures including government officials,

poets, writers, composers and readers clubs from the regions of the country. Faisal

Ali Warabe as the chairman of opposition party, Muuse Biihi, the chairman of

ruling party, Hadrawi as a poet, Boobe yusuf Duale as writer and other guests

attended the ceremony. The minister for sports, culture and youth officially opened

the event. The event which was highly

organized went under way as a schedule and Jama Muse Jama who is one of the leading

organizers delivered a speech by which he demanded the government to establish

 

Public

library where people come and enjoy reading books. The event was held in

Freedom Park and writers from home and abroad displays their newly published

books and participants were encouraged to buy these books. Hadrawi who is a

prolific poet spoke and he talked about what is going to happen with in the coming

days. There will be s poetry contest and the youth is to take a leading role.

 

There

were guests invited from Garowe and Djibouti who attended the event.

 

Finally,

the ceremony was well organized where all those invited enjoyed the cultural festival

which was held in their country.
