PRWEB) July 18, 2011

WorldRemit, a leading online money transfer business, has launched “Send Money to Yourself” service that enables diaspora members traveling to Somaliland to collect cash from local agents using their cards. In the absence of cash machines, the new service enables customers to use their debit/credit cards and pick-up cash from WorldRemit’s extensive agent network.

“This unique service is the first of its kind in Somaliland,” said Ismail Ahmed, Founder & CEO of WorldRemit. “It furthers our on-going commitment to bring unprecedented convenience to our customers who can continue to use the WorldRemit service while on holiday.”

WorldRemit also enables diaspora members to send money to their family and friends while travelling. They no longer need to call someone abroad to withdraw cash from an ATM and visit an agent location in order to send money. All they need is Internet access. The service is currently available to customers with UK and Canadian bank accounts.
