xiinfaniin Posted July 18, 2011 ^^Xaaji Xunjuf, in hindsight Somaliland shouldn't never built a prison for a piracy problems that is not her to deal with. Piracy issue is between the big guys and those who happen to reside in the path, getting in the way of that battle was never a good idea for your little enclave... Xaaji Xunjuf Posted July 18, 2011 Somaliland will continue to fight international piracy and their criminal activities, it doesn't only effect the western countries but the region as a whole. Piracy is close to our home thus we should fight it by any means necessary.

I liked the news heading: EU naval officials say Somali pirates seize small oil tanker headed for northern Somalia Go, XX and send the matching national/qaran army to capture these criminal pirates.. Abokor Omar Posted July 18, 2011 Somaliland needs to be a bit mote creative with the growing pirate prison population. We should use this huge man power as a labour force to help build our infrastructure, roads, wells, buildings, farmer labourers, rather than providing a roof over their heads and giving them three square meals. This won't discourage them but instead encourage them to escape from Bintland..
Xaaji Xunjuf Posted July 18, 2011 Abokor they can built their own prisons to lol , but that's not a bad idea we need to build a road from hargeysa to burco.
NASSIR Posted July 18, 2011 ^The pirates are "Somali-landers". Having listened to a BBC reporter who had conducted interviews with some of the pirates, I had no idea that the bulk of the inmates held in Mandhera prison were from Burco and Hargeisa towns until then. I believe no region in Somalia can insulate itself from this lucrative , criminal entrrprise given the dismal socio-economic conditions of Somalia in general nor can the world escape from the scourge of piracy without a viable Somali Government. Xaaji Xunjuf Posted July 18, 2011 Who cares what they are , they are pirates and are criminals and belong in mandheera and in the newly built prison opened by president Axmed Siilaanyo i don't care where they are from.
Abokor Omar Posted July 18, 2011 Nassir piracy is alien to the good people of Somaliland. Don't throw about dishonest accusations inorder to protect your criminal cousins who have turned this criminal enterprise into an art form. Those people languishing in Somaliland jails accused of piracy are Bintlanders, be it your kins cousins. The prison was built specifically for none Somalilanders who get transfered by the western navies after being caught in this criminal act of piracy in the high seas. We will use common sense and respectfully disagree with you and conclude that the prisoners ate from Bossaso and not Burco, as you claimed.
