Xaaji Xunjuf Posted July 17, 2011 Erdogan to visit Gaza Commenting on circulations by media source relating an expected visit by Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the besieged Gaza Strip, Hamas considered such visit as a step to break the suffocating Israeli siege imposed on the Gaza strip for more than 5 years . Israeli sources had said earlier that Turkish Prime Minister intends to visit the Gaza Strip during the next two weeks to meet with officials from Hamas. According to the newspaper “Maariv” Israel said on Sunday that Erdogan asked the Egyptian authorities to allow him access to Gaza in the framework of his visit to Egypt at the end of this month but has not yet submitted its final response to this request. The sources warned that mentioned that such a visit would damage the prospects of relations between Israel and Turkey. Sami Abu Zuhri, the spokesman for Hamas movement, confirmed Sunday morning that Erdogan’s visit is illustration of Palestinian legitimacy that the world refuses to recognize.
