Xaaji Xunjuf Posted July 1, 2011 If we look back at this historical day it was precisely a year ago when the Muujaahid was declared as the new president of the republic of Somaliland it was that special day the first of july when 3.8 Million Somalilanders were waiting for the resuts of the presidential elections The day where the electoral Commision of Somaliland worked so hard to Monitor the elections process along with the international observers the first of july was the day where we gathered in Hargeysas Maansoors Hotel and the presidential results were made Public to the People of Somaliland special thanks to Mr Ciise yusuf Xamari the Chairman of the electoral Commision of Somaliland. First of july is indeed the day that changed Somaliland for good and is the day Mujahid Ahmed Mahamuud Siilaanyo was announced as the newly elected president of the republic of Somaliland for 5 years. A great day to remember for all Somalis with a great result and a Milestone in Somali History A shining example for us to follow for genereations to come in the future inshallah.
