If you are given two options to choose from as today which one would you choose?

1. Remain with Somalia OR

2. Be under British colony

You can called it a silly questio but I posted for a good reason when I see how little turns June 26th is recieved by landers yet celeberated May 18th in huge turns.

P.S those who compared your choice of the queen with those in Mogadishu under the mercy of Ugandese, that was a bad call. I though NG you can do better than this.

Walaal Khadar - 26th of June is for all Somalis and it received little attention in all of Somalia in comparison to other dates be it 1st of July or 18th May or 1st of August . so your question should have been applied to all or none at all.

It was an open goal dee, saaxib. :D

As for the 26th of June, that's a day to be aknowledged by all but (surely) be celebrated by none. If it were the only day then I would understand your argument but it was followed by bigger and better days. After all, patriotism (which, I assume, is what you're playing at here) is about nation building and remembering the good times. Now, when you compare the 1st of July (for example) to the 26th of June you forget the significance of both and the importance of each to these feelings of patriotism that you have. On the 26th of June, the occupiers (through no proper force or coercion) decided to leave and give Somalis their freedom. But the glorious day of the 1st of July was the time when the Somalis got together to build a nation! For patriotic reasons the second supersedes the first (which is why 18th May also is great).

That is true and it's a day for all Somalis yet it directly applies to Notherners which is the day North was freed from British and its colony and I am comparing to May 18th which is more popular than June 26th sadly.

Your point of June 26th being less celeberated comparing to other days like July 1st is another completely issue for my this point here but I agree with you.

NG, I am not sure if you mixed up with threads, but I wasn't comparing June 26th with July 1st though both have their own significences yet July has additional attributes as you mentioned. However suggesting the two choices up, I am referring how important is May 18th for landers over June 26th which is the day the emperial is removed from north of Somalia yet your lots give little attention and embrace more on May 18th which one can interpret as if today is given the choice of to remain somalia orunder colony of Brits, landers would choice which one? under Brits probably..

Since they are crying after some borders that was made by the british government I am assuming they would prefer to be under the British colony.

Otherwise, they would have been happy with their three cities, and would not have occupied by force lands that aint theirs..

salaam
