Adan Siiro calls upon Hargeisa Councilors to be dissolved

Hargeisa(JSLTimes.com) – In today’s Friday prayer, Mr. Adan Haaji Mohamud Siiro blasts Hargeisa councilors and calls for them to be dissolved with immediate effect.

No respect to underprivileged people

Mr. Adan told that the local councilors cause a serious problem to underprivileged people and added by saying that they committed embezzlement. In Friday sermon, Mr. Adan said that every councilor earns an estimated salary of 2000 $ and access to a car. They have no respect to underprivileged people who pay the 5000 shillings as tax duty and if injustice is done are committed then the councilors will not have access to large residential home and big cars.

Mr. Adan further commented on the justice and that the decision making process should be decentralized. He called upon the government to fulfill its pledges in which people voted for. Mr. Adan siiro was referring to an incident that caused emotional appeal and condemnation after Hargeisa Municipality embarked on a mission of clearing the small traders in road pavements. The small trader set himself alight afer his property vandalized and destroyed without informing him beforehand. The trader by the name of Mr. Abdi Adnan as reports say that he used petrol to set him alight. However, people nearby managed to put him out and remained unhurt.

As reports indicate later on that Hargeisa Municipality promised to rebuild Mr. Abdi for his demolished property.
