caydarus Posted June 14, 2011 Al Qaeda has been taking some serious losses in past couple of months. Fazul Abdullah Mohammed, the most wanted terrorist in Africa, was killed last Tuesday, after a wrong turn led his 4×4 to a government checkpoint in Somalia’s capital city, Mogadishu. Mohammed, who was wanted for a number of atrocities, including helping orchestrate the attacks on the U.S. embassies in Nairobi, Kenya and Dar es Salaam in 1998, had been on the run for over 10 years, and had a reward of $5 million hanging over his head. He and the other man in the vehicle – suspected by Kenyan officials to be Musa Dheere a senior member of al-Shabaab – attempted to speed through the checkpoint, causing the Somali security forces to open fire. Mohammed was killed in the gunfight, but it was only after the shooting ended that they searched the officials realized he was a person of importance. They found on him the international terrorist essentials – cell phones, a large amount of cash, laptop, and a South African passport – a sent a DNA sample to U.S. officials in Nairobi who confirmed that it was Mohammed. am wandering if al-qaeda lost such important people could they be still survive?
