Xaaji Xunjuf Posted June 3, 2011 Hillary Clinton set to visit African countries Posted Wednesday, June 1 2011 at 18:49 US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is set to visit three African countries next week and to hold a discussion with African Union officials on security issues. State Department announced on Wednesday Mrs Clinton will first go to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for a meeting of the Libya Contact Group on June 9. Mrs Clinton is expected in Lusaka, Zambia on June 10 to attend the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) Ministerial Forum. While in Zambia, she will also meet with Zambian President Rupiah Banda. Secretary Clinton will also visit Tanzania to meet with President Jakaya Kikwete and visit some US-supported projects. In Addis Ababa, the top US diplomat is set to confer with Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi about Sudan, Somalia and other regional security issues.
