caydarus Posted May 31, 2011 The main problem facing Somalia is inter and intra clan rivalry and fighting. My clan against your clan, my sub-clan against your sub-clan, my village against your village, my family against your family, I against my brother. As long as this problem is not solved, peace will not prevail in Somalia.The world keeps pumping charity into the country. The corrupt leaders steal the contributions (food, medical supplies, etc.) and sell it to the highest bidder. Much of it never hits the streets of Somalia. This charity assures that the gang leaders who rule the country stay in power because anyone who joins their gang lives a better (and longer) life than those who don't.
