Faarax-Brawn Posted May 19, 2011 Great stuff!. But may i speak my contraversial mind? And i hope i dont come accross as bitter or a party pooper as such, :,but why is it a big deal when non somalis sing our songs or speak 2 or three sentences in Somali? Do you think i will be on huffpost or some other anglo speaking blog,if a video of me comes out singing, "Everything i do,i do it for u"? will there be a smitten anglo speaking gal or dude, lol, on that blog sayin, "OMG, look at this Amazing Afro Somali Farax singing in English!!!" Mhmm.,.Me wonders.

Aaliyyah Posted May 19, 2011 Dhabodhilfe.com ............Certain people in our community seem to look up to ajnabis. Rampage, this is not abt looking up to ajanabi as u put it. But, rather appreciating that someone who is not somali is showing interest in our mother tongue. That many of us somalis seem to have lost interest in it (SOL is a good example most ppl here converse in English. And, honestly I am not saying there isnt anything wrong with that but as somalis the least we can do is practice our mother tongue in this somali site after all there are million of other websites where we can type in English..Not to mention that mostly outside in our day to day life we do talk in English)... Ismahan I seen that chinese guy, it is kool. But, I did not get one word he said..ma ana somali aqoon mise asaga luqadii waxkale ka dhigay..not sure! LOL salaam
