The ONLF; if your nobel son was a freedom fighter, why are you occupied today? Do you not agree you not being free today equals that he failed. Yes, and he failed miserably at that, although whatever his initial intention was only Allah knows. Personally I don't think this guy was tribal minded, or for that matter preffered a certain Somali clan over another in the early years. Thats one fact worth noting. Another fact worth noting is that he was a great poet and probably charismatic, traits essential for a leader of men in those days. However those characteristics alone just don't cut it, If you want to be a great leader and loved by all of your people, you have to be a master in the art of diplomacy, and be consistent all the way through. But his flaws far outweighed his virtues, and in the end he will be remebered as a narcissistic who was up himslef with a split personality, and at times thought he was the mahdi, lol. And contrary to aabe afweyne's re-written history regarding the mad mullah, the fact that he was a shameless gangster who robbed not only camel from anyone he didn't like but also any hot chick he could his hand on, even those of his soldiers is well documented both by his enemies and allies.
