Alpha Blondy Posted May 16, 2011 clearly! the man was a presidential candidate for goodness sakes. these smear campaigns have taken a sinister turn for the worse. All you need is for a prozzie to shout 'rape', of course in the pay of opposition, and your opponent is a rapist before even trail. The time spent defending innocence, all but leaves the candidate broke and bankrupt. ridiculous! talk about hyper-personality-ised politics!

Somalina Posted May 17, 2011 IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn, who has been charged with sexual assault and attempted rape, had been involved in similar incidents "at least once," a New York court has been told. There were "reports that he has engaged in conduct similar to this on at least one other occasion," the prosecutor told a New York court, just before the judge denied bail to the powerful head of the International Monetary Fund. Strauss-Kahn was accused of sexually assaulting and attempting to rape a hotel maid at the weekend, and reports have since emerged of other women who claim to have been attacked by the IMF chief. A young author claimed she had been forced to fight off Strauss-Kahn in a TV program that first aired in France in 2007 and again this week. Tristane Banon, the 31-year-old god-daughter of the accused's second wife, said he lured her to a studio apartment in Paris with the promise of an interview in 2002, when she was starting out as a journalist. Once she arrived, he allegedly started ripping at her clothes like a "rutting chimpanzee". "I kicked him, I called him a rapist, he didn’t seem to care," Ms Banon said in earlier interviews. She was able to escape but reportedly did not press charges because she was afraid it would affect her career. Ms Banon’s mother, Anne Mansouret, this week confirmed her daughter was planning to make a report to Paris police, The Daily Mail reports. This week Judge Melissa Jackson said Strauss-Kahn should be remanded because he was "a flight risk" after being charged with sexual assault and attempted rape of a hotel chambermaid. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/world/8249972/imf-chief-attacked-like-a-rutting-chimpanzee
