Home Remedies for Rapid Hair Growth

27 July 2009

Important! Always consult your doctor before trying these or any home remedies. "Natural" does not mean it is safe for everybody.

Tips to Make Hair Grow Faster

Although many experts say there is no way to accelerate the growth of hair, there are several home remedies that people have used and passed down from generation to generation asserting that they do make hair grow faster. And the only way to find out if it works or not is testing it. A trick that does not fail is being pregnant with a baby boy, your hair will grow so fast! However, since this tip is not very practical, here are others.

Onion: Add minced onion to your shampoo. Let stand for fifteen days and use the shampoo regularly. Not only will it accelerate hair growth but it will give your hair glacial shine.

Another one with onion: Cut a red onion in half, add four cloves of garlic and two cinnamon sticks. Put everything in a pot and bring to a boil for 15 minutes. Rinse hair with this infusion for four days in a row.

Grapeseed oil: Grapeseed oil is believed to enhance hair growth. Give your scalp a massage using this oil before bedtime.

Reflexology: With hands in a semi fist, place the fingernails of each hand towards each other and buff nails against each other briskly back and forth for five minutes everyday.

Birth Control Pills: Grind four or five birth control pills and add them to your regular shampoo. home-remedies-site.com Not only will your hair grow faster but also healthier and more abundant.

moonSleeping with braids: Before going to bed at night wash your hair. Tie your hair in two braids while it’s still wet. Sleep with the braids all night. Repeat the following night. After two or three days, you will notice that your hair is longer.

The moon: Trim hair tips each month during a waxing crescent moon.

Aloe Vera and honey: Cut three aloe vera leaves and scrape off the gel. Mix the gel with honey, and apply it to the scalp. Let it work for 20 minutes and rinse.

Potato water: When cooking potatoes do not throw away the water. Let it cool, and rinse your hair with it. This rinse accelerates hair growth.

Cactus or aloe: Cut some cactus or aloe leaves in small pieces and leave them in water overnight. Apply the water to the hair and leave it for as long as possible.

Energetic breakfast: 1 tablespoon of wheat germ, 1 tablespoon of brewer’s yeast, 1 tablespoon soy lecithin, 1 tablespoon honey, and one cup of yogurt. home-remedies-site.com Combine all ingredients in the yogurt and eat it every day before breakfast. In one week you will see results; a hair full of strength and growing faster.

Nutrition for your hair: 1 egg, 1 trickle of olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey. Apply to the scalp with a vigorous massage. Cover the head with a towel for 30 minutes. Wash normally.

I have reservations about putting FOOD on your hair when so many in the world are going hungry & are destitute.

Trim your hair once every 2 months, keep it moisturized. Simple. If you don’t want to go hair salon you can do it yourself.

Re-think the shampoo & conditioner you're using, a lot of the mainstream brands have harsh chemicals in them that strip the hair of natural oils, hence the 'shine'. Try paraben/SLS free ranges from health stores.

Aragan oil, jojoba oil & almond oil are all great for keeping hair in tact.

^ I don't put food on my hair all teh time, but like once or twice a week. And, I can understand where you are coming from but all the hair treatments we buy from the stores are also made of food ingredients. So, personally I don't see it as a waste....and I don't use so muchh on my hair that would probably be a waste but small portions..

As for the shampoo and the conditioner ur right many of them do have harsh chemicals..

n the oils I use jojoba oil, almond oil, olive oil, coconut oil, but I have never heard of Argan oil..so ill google it and see what it is..

thanks for your two cents..
