Somalia: Puntland's Experience in Peace-building and State-building: Faroole's remarks in Nairobi

Recommended Posts

Somalina my dear, the Pirates are so tough and rough even Nato with their $7 billion dollar trades could do nothing to them.

Puntland has had some success and some failures. Sharif has yet to visit a single village in all of Somalia out of fear yet wants more time?

Come on love give us a break.

Xaaji Xunjuf spot on that is what is delusional about SSDF supporters they are trying to preach to us fake diverse and delusionals when their clan holds 33 seats in the parliament while all the other clans put together don't even reach 33 seats? are they telling us SSDF is larger than all those other groups( such as Sool, Makhiir, Goldogob) put together? injustice at it's best indeed.

Faroole matters not adeer. What matters is that Somalia needs a better leader than Sharif Hotel.

Also traveling to Eyl would be further than someone going from Mogadishu to Jowhar, which Sharif has not done.

Saalax I am telling you while the system in Puntland is not perfect it sure beats the SNM claiming to be 70% of the former British colony.

Is the SNM clan 70% of NW Somalia including all of SOOL, SANAAG and AWDAL?

The SNM is not claiming anything it's already out there the two most populated regions & cities (Maroodijeex & Togdheer, Hargeysa, Burco happen to be their heartland. Not including their other strongholds in Western Sool & Sanaag. So i wouldn't be surprised if they are 70% of the population or more in Sland.

Now can you explain how can SSDF be more than Makhiir, Sool and Goldogob put together?

Secessionist again, the Speaker, President, Finance, Interior and
14 out of 20 Ministers are all from the SNM clan.

Ouch! Secessionists can't dispute this fact. The (s)elections they had made sure that both opposition leaders were from the SNM clan, thus ensuring that one side has an advantage.

The SNM dominants NW Somalia, this is why Siilaanyo is incapable of travelling outside of the triangle and even in Hargeysa he's needs hundreds of armed militia to protect him when he visits a hospital in that city.

There's nothing diverse in Northern Somalia ( S&P) unless we have to redefine what's diversity and aligned with the Somali context.

Duke and Somalina....As long as we continue calling each other pirates or what have you, nothing will get done. The fact remains these men and admins you support will come and go, and Somalia will still in the deep sh!t.

Every community of the Somali nation has serious concerns that needs to be addressed, maybe we should start listening to their concerns and find compromise. TFG gains nothing by alienating communities from Puntland and certainly Puntland gains nothing by going against the TFG.

^Fitno waaxid inaa Zack qaldey?

I think honest leadership from all groups should sit down for the sake of the people! It's abundantly clear no one is winning this war and we can't afford another 20 yrs.
