Paragon Posted April 1, 2011 Women of all ages should not be allowed to use facebook by law, especially, the married ones. Edit: Unmarried ones should be made to wear a Burka if and not when they attempt to use facebook. Otherwise, they should be flogged for using facebook with no modesty. Aaliyyah Posted April 1, 2011 Lol paragon. I don't see why cant married sisters use facebook as long as they use it in a halaal way and keep in touch with their friends n family! Same applies to unmarried sisters they shouldnt be using it to sweet talk men. It should just be an avenue to keep in touch with their friends family etc...as long as facebook is used in a halaal like the shiekh said clearly there shouldnt be an issue. One thing I personally dont understand is the girls who have 1000 friends on facebook and basically 800 are guys lol (subhanalah) pointless!..same applies to guys!... As for the pictures. As the shiekh said as long as a sister uploads a modest picture is fine. But, I personally seen ppl abuse girls pictures (especially on youtube.....you would see clips with the titles " future girls or future models" and 1000 pictures uploaded from various Somali websites so subhanalah it would break my heart to see my picture among those lol..so yeah I rather never upload a picture of mine online) my 2 cents! salaam

Aaliyyah Posted April 1, 2011 basically he said people shouldn't rush to say something is haraam unless they have a solid proof. And, that facebook for instance isnt haraam but rather it is how one uses it. He uses the analogy of a knife, like knife can be both beneficial and harmful depending how you one utilizes it.. Che -Guevara Posted April 1, 2011 The bigger question is why does Aaliyah watch video of Somali girls on youtube? What drove her to it? It's mystery I tell.
