When its first stone of its foundation was laid down by Ugaas Dr. Abdirahman Ugaas Khalif Roble in a ceremony organized by HUF representative and a member of HU Board of Directors, Mr. Abdulkadir Khalif Dirie. The ceremony was held at the site of the main campus of HU at Eel Jaalle Village, Hawatako District of Beled-weyne, Hiiraan, Somalia in the afternoon of August 10, 2005. This was followed by the arrival of Dr. Ibrahim Dhaqane AIi, Administrator of Hiiraan University in Beled-Weyne in the afternoon of August 14, 2005 where he met at the Ugaas Khaliif International Airport with Mr. Dirie whom he received warm welcome by members of Hiiraan community and some of their leaders and exchanged pleasantry words with them.
