Real and Imminent “Somaliland” aggression on SSC

In recent days, “Somaliland” militia were building their fire power to unleash yet another round of onslaught on the defenseless civilian people of Sool, Sanaag and Cayn (SSC) regions of Somalia. This current hostility is towards the Cayn region, an area where “Somaliland” militia launched a major offensive in February of this year, killing over 50 people, and injuring over 100, mainly civilians.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A large numbers of heavily armed “Somaliland” militia with more than 50 so called “technicals” (four wheel drive pickups mounted with heavy machine guns), Tanks, armed personnel carriers, heavy artillery etc. were deployed to the Kalshaale area, near Buuhoodle, the capital city of Cayn, in Northern Somalia in preparation for another onslaught to bring this city forcefully under their control against the will of the people in the area who expressed their views that they have no desire or interest in the shibboleth political views of the ***** clan to get clan dominated breakaway state in the mayhem of the current situation in Somalia. In February of this year, “Somaliland” militia attacked and failed to seize Buuhoodle.

 

 

 

 

 

This time the threat of yet another Somaliland (but more devastating) attack is not only real but imminent and requires urgent action before more lives are lost in this mindless war. Given the urgency of the situation and potential loss of many lives, which could reignite civil war in this part of Somalia, where relative peace prevailed for some time now, whilst the rest of the country was in turmoil.

 

 

 

 

 

We denounce in the strongest terms possible any member of international community that lend support in arming, training or procuring directly or indirect without taking into account the realities on the ground. They will not be able to avoid responsibility of their role by giving financial, political and moral support to clan against another to tip the balance of the Somali system and way of live for many centuries.

 

 

 

 

 

One needs to understand that, unfortunately, the current situation in Somalia is that the only enemy Somali man has is next door brethren Somali. And so arming or training a militia for one entity will almost certainly, as it has happened already in Kalshaale, will result an eminent attack on his neighbour.

 

 

 

The people of Lasanod, the biggest city in SSC regions, are being, as I speak repressed, kidnapped and bundled in to detention camps in the heart of clannish secessionist enclave, gagged and refused to speak up against the atrocities carried out against them, subjected to dawn to dust curfew, in the name of secessionism that they don’t want.

 

 

 

 

 

Two Somali TV journalists (universal TV and Somali Channel) have been held hostage for simply broadcasting views of the local people. No one knows what their situation has since become. Both were based in Lasanod before the secessionist “Somaliland” administration kidnapped them. We therefore call upon the international community, the peace loving people in the world and the UN, EU,IGAD,AU, Arab League any anyone that has any leverage in the situation to act and act quickly in order to prevent war and save lives.
