Gheelle.T Posted March 17, 2011 These document show the British Government's involvement in Northern Somalia' conflict. This document sent by an official in their(Britain)embassy to Somali Ambassador in Nairobi proves the allegations SSC folks have been making lately. See below:
Gheelle.T Posted March 17, 2011 Obviously the group and the individuals that they deem threat, and need to be countered are the SSC. Wonder why would Britain want to break the UN arm embargo on Somalia and involve its conflict now?
NGONGE Posted March 18, 2011 ^^ Assuming that this letter is real, why would the UK be breaking the UN arm embargo when it clearly says in the letter that it would seek approval for any from the UN Sanctions Committee if and when necessary?
Ibtisam Posted March 18, 2011 I've seen this before but I would like to see the reply to this letter :D
Gheelle.T Posted March 18, 2011 The intent of the British government is what's in question here. Whether it seeks for the UN approval or smuggle weapons in to SL is just a part of the debate. But why would it involve in Somalia's conflict and arm one segment of the society against others? As for the the authenticity of the document, of course it can be questioned, but isn't the content in the document inline with what they(HMG) have been saying in public? bilan Posted March 18, 2011 Gheele why would not they get involved when SL keeps telling the UK that enslaving them was the best thing that UK did for SL, I mean if stray cat keeps following you, you will have no option but to like it. plus have you seen what some SL supporters write, it is really sad when you hear them keep saying over and over that SSC are descendants of the people who killed Richard Corfield(koofil) in Jidbaale, like seriously is that suppose to be something bad. Plus Somalis would have solved their issues long time ago if they were left alone.
Abokor Omar Posted March 18, 2011 If the British decide to support Somaliland it's not down to their past history with the high on opium mullah, but because it's clear for anybody to see only one group wants to join the civilised world whilst the other wants anarchy. Do you think the White man is confused by hate and is unable to see right from wrong. Only Somalis from a certain tree hate Somaliland and it's people, oppose it and will never acknowledging any progress it makes. Get those books out the demoralised folks back home need more fairytales about the Mullah and his favourite horse, not forgetting everyones favourite footsoldiers. Taleexi Posted March 18, 2011 Can we get alone is all I ask? if history has any importance; contrary to their wishes - Isa-aks can neither obliterate Dhul-bahantes and others in the north nor will they ever win their minds and hearts to become stakeholders of the secessionist cult therefore best option would be - live let live mantra. The sooner, this is realized on the part of the aggressor the better we all be.

Saalax Posted March 18, 2011 Well at the end of the day it's SSC who are whining in London neighbourhoods. Whether Sland forces are trained or not. Somaliland is here to stay.
Abokor Omar Posted March 18, 2011 We need footsoldiers and spies for our soon to be country. So in short no, either the children of the mad mullah will have to vacate las anood and buhoodle and dwell on the other side of the border, or they will become loyal citizens doing what they do best. The north will not be turned into bandit country simply because one tribe does not want to follow the civilised majority...no sir.
Taleexi Posted March 18, 2011 Abokor: We shall wait and see the destiny of your beloved "civilised majority"
Saalax Posted March 18, 2011 Abokor Omar well said. The former footsoldiers of defeated men like Siad bare & Mad Mullah will once again be tamed if they don't live in peace and act uncivilised.
Abokor Omar Posted March 18, 2011 History has witnessed we always prevail and you will fail. Its tough for a country to be born blood has to be spilt. You my friend are willing to be the ceremonial lamb for the birth of Somaliland on the world stage. We will grant you your wish and put you on the chopping board something that should have happened in the 90's.
