A living miracle of prophet Muhammad

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the one, all mighty, the knowing, the most forgiving, and the most merciful.

A miracle can be defined in various ways as an occurrence that can’t be explained by the laws of nature, as a fact that is beyond human power or capabilities that can’t be explained by human reason or logic. It follows that since a miracle can’t be attributed to the powers of men, it must be regarded as a direct act of almighty Allah. A miracle, as an act of Allah, reflects his absolute power and command. A miracle is a challenge to human intellect. It’s an undeniable proof that Allah alone is the lord of the universe and that he commands obedience from all his creations.

History bears witness that Allah sent prophets to parts of the world to guide mankind to the path of success and salvation. Whenever a prophet came to a group of people, they demanded that he should perform miracles for them as proof of their prophet hood. They were not as interested in the character or conduct of the prophet or even in the message that he brought for them. They were more concerned about seeing if he could dazzle them with supernatural acts. Every prophet from Adam to Mohammed (May the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon him) encountered such situations. The answer of each prophet to his people was the same. I am just a servant and messenger of Allah and have brought you guidance from Allah I have no extra powers and can’t perform miracle either at my will or on your demand. However, Allah, in his infinite mercy, did bless each of his prophets with certain miracles. History also upholds that every prophet was given miracles suitable for the people and place to which he was sent. The same is true of Prophet Muhammad (May the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon him). His miracles were witnessed by his people and are well documented in books of history and (the biography of Prophet Muhammad (May the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon him).

Prophet Mohammed is unique in the chains of prophets. All others were sent for specific regions and times, and therefore, Allah gave these prophets miracles suitable for their respective peoples at given time. Mohammed (May the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon him), however, was sent as Allah’s last prophet for all of mankind, should have a universal miracle that is irrelevant of time and space.

The universal miracle that Allah gave to Prophet Muhammad, the last and final messenger to mankind, is the glorious Quran. Each new generation has been discovering new miracles in the Quran. These never ending miracles are the perpetual testimony that Muhammad, (may the peace and the blessing of Allah be upon him) was sent by Allah as his last prophet and that the Quran is Allah’s divine guidance for the entire human race.
