Aaliyyah Posted May 15, 2011 Are you thinking about marrying someone you met online, Mareeg Girl? Personally, I'm a bit sceptic about the whole subject. People aren't always what they appear to be online... In your first meeting, what if your guy turns out to be ... let's get crazy ... a town rapist, or a serialkiller, child molester etc. That just freaks me out loooll, I always go for the worst Ms Moons sums up my feelings abt meeting someone online. A big no-no..mareeg sister inshallah you will find your calaf don't settle for less!.. Best of luck! salaam

Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar Posted May 15, 2011 What is the big deal? Ma wuxuu ka duwanyahay mid, say, aad ku baratay maqaayad, jidka dhexdiisa ama beer banaankeeda? Soomaali haddaa nahnay dad kala wada fogaaday nahnay, oo gees walba dunida ka joogo marka bahalkaan shabakadaha la leeyahay wuu sahlay xiriirka. Nothing wrong with the net itself, but qofka suu yahay ku xirantahay. Haddaa rabtid ka baro qof from the net, haddaadan rabin haka barin. No big deal. It is just like saying suu yahay qof aad ka baratay at the shopping centre or at a mall. No big deal, sidaa idinka isku fahantiin ku xirantahay. Chimera Posted May 16, 2011 In my gullible early days of s-life.com, when I was still single, I agreed to a meet up with a Dutch-Somali sister who lived in the same city, and from the pics we send one another I was mesmerised, but just to be safe I wore a big scarf that covered half of my face and I observed her from afar like 007. Yikes, that was the last time I ever agreed to something like that again. I don't know why she tried to trick me though, its not like I would fall into her arms if she explained the reasons behind her fake-photos trap, or maybe she wanted to kidnap me like that film Stephen King's "misery"? lol. I did meet the real sister of the pics in a mall, but after an hour I realised she's to high-maintainance. BTW; I do know of a Somali brother and sister that succesfully met eachother through the internet. Civil war scattered their families to different continents, yet the world-wide-web united them. Its like the movie "The Adjustment bureau", the old plan is determined to be realised. ps; I wouldn't recommend a sister meeting up with someone on her own. Aaliyyah Posted May 16, 2011 lol@or maybe she wanted to kidnap me like that film Stephen King's "misery"? lol... Adam you are too funny. I remember a shiekh sayin in one khudbah a 40 years old guy can send u a pic of himself when he was 15...lol so yeah in the online world u can expect anything. But, for me it is not so much the pics as honesty? like it doenst matter how old someone is as long as they admit to it and dnt fake it.. salaam p.s is s-life? somali life?..I had an account in there when I was 17 lol but only for two days? walahi dadkaas waaban fahmi wayey! even at such a young age i was too mature for them.. Aaliyyah Posted May 19, 2011 Ms Moons loool anyone who is not paranoid abt chit chating with some dude online is definitely missing somin..like I would be imagining him married with 10 ciyaal iyo calool kusan (that prevents me from taking anything online seriously LOL).. salaam
Nina Fox Posted June 25, 2011 My stance on this is, meeting people online has become more common and inevitable in the noughties, since we spend most our time online, either through work or pleasure. But my main concern is introducing them to the parents. "By the way Aaabo, he made the first move and poked me on facebook".....OMG, so embarrasing. Naaah, that aint for me.
