The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) / Kenya Operations Centre (KEOC) invites ELECTRONIC BIDS for the following works:

 

(ITB KEOC‐2010‐043)

Rehabilitation of Gardo Prison, Puntland, Somalia.

 

Deadline for Questions & Answers: Tuesday 30th November 2010

Electronic Bid Closing date: Thursday 9th December 2010 (12.00 noon Kenya time)

 

To participate in this Open Tender, companies must provide supporting documents that they meet the following conditions:

 

(a) Documented proof of possession of minimum 7 (seven) years experience in similar construction activities and minimum 3 references from such previous employers.

(b) Average annual construction turnover not less than USD 100,000.00 (US Dollars One Hundred Thousand) during the last three years.

© Satisfactory completion of at least 1 (one) civil construction works worth USD 150,000 (US Dollars One Hundred and Fifty Thousand) over the last five (5) years.

(d) Valid company registration for construction works in Puntland, Somalia.

(e) List of equipment available for the construction works (indicating if these are owned or leased).

(f) List of personnel available in Gardo, Puntland for the construction works (number of personnel, their professional qualifications and job categories required).

(g) Ability to undertake works in Gardo, Puntland without sub‐contracting along with current contract

commitments.

(h) The bidder must not have any pending disputes or litigation.

(i) The bidder must not be under UN embargo.

 

Please note that no remuneration will be made to bidders for preparation and submission of bids.
