Obama Dual-Track Approach Is Appeasing Puntland

Can anyone else think why Obama shifted gear with the dual-track policy rather then just blindly supporting the tfg? I know that obama administration were getting fed up with the no progress happening in mogadishu however why didn't they take somaliland and say "we will recognize u and follow your policy" why did they take puntland policy and say "somalia still federal states but we will give you economic assistance" which is what puntland has been wanting the whole time along.

 

I really do believe it's puntland who calls the shots for somalis whether we want to accept it or not and I think if puntland wanted to become indepedent it could do so very easily considering how it shifts international consensus towards its own policies of federalism.

 

Federalism is only good for puntland because after-all most puntlanders live in gobollada. And majority wise the Dblock clan are the majority in gabollada so its really in essence the benefit for our own people yet the international community supports this policy and even recognizes this policy as the best way to solve somalia problems.

The interesting bit is that Johnnie Carson claimed to be supporting Galkayo University with IT infrastructure but nothing of it has been initiated let alone materialized.

President Farole summed up some of the great achievements that have been made and also some of the upcoming achievements to come.

 

He said firstly that all resources and manpower will be utilized to help puntland through this drought crisis.

He said that puntland will continue with the naval project and will not stop for anyone. He also mentioned no arms embargo is being broken because the arms will come thru the tfg channel. Excellent line to silence the hargeisa into dumbfoundedness.

He also urged odeyasha dhaqameedka somaliyeed inay ka saran cudurka qabilka sida uu dawladeen ay carurta daawo uu sinayan for cudurada sida tbka.

He also foresighted when puntland uses it resources fully meaning oil/fishery sector that we will become rich state that will be transformed into donor giving state helping other countries.

He mentioned that puntland is opening a puntland consulate in kenya which will stop farole from going to nairobi all the time

He urged the business community to implement alternative energy sources in puntland so we dont become reliant on charcoal and chopping trees down which will safeguard the environment.

He said that puntland would adopt an approach to idps which will distinguish them from genuine idps seeking shelter or idps who are seeking destruction/tahrib and so forth. The IDPS seeking destruction and tahrib will be deported immediately whilst the genuine IDP's will not be harmed

He also mentioned puntland prisons need to be developed more. He mentioned that puntland presidential guards not 1 of them chew khat and that now the goal is to move this no khat policy to police and darawish border troops. This is drug free security sector.

He also touched upon puntland democratisation program. he said that puntland will have fully western model type of democracy if the western world give the state support in implementing it however if that doesnt occur puntland will adopt an electoral type of democracy where the community at each city will vote for representative in the parliament and those parliament members will vote for who becomes president.

He mentioned puntland will be opening up more banks also
