Nugul Posted December 22, 2010 wahan ku qore somali so we can discuss this in private, well sort of. I just want to hear from the experieced somalis with regards to how to deal with racism and discrimination. If you think this is not your problem, please stay away from it. For me this is a huge problem and has been for many years. wahan dooni ina la talisan the right way to act when you come across such things at work place. Aniga waxan donaya qof ila hadla si wanagsan because this is a topic that touches me deeply. Another issue is the attitude of non-British Europeans who find jobs steadly fast, and many times discriminate against Somalida. The other day I went to the Housing benefit to interprete for a relative of mine, we saw a young European non-English speaker who looked down on us, particularly si yaab u fiirineysey my aunts clothes. she was incridebly rude. I did come across similar things in the past. Those women I saw speak strong-accented English yet they want us inaan anaga dad liitaa nahey. I once made a written complaint on behalf of one somali woman, but the response was quite dismissive. What would you do in this situations. I am pretty angry. Mahasanid.
