Malika. Xalwa, this thing called hariisad, qurac and melted ashy looking thing that at some point was chocolates from Dubai but melted and reset, lots of biscuits and dates- nice ones too. They have also started making ice cream (more like just frozen cream).

I have for so long though about opening a sweets shop with all kinds of sweets, nuts, Asian and Arab sweets packaged nicely into gift sets. It would be a such hit.
I just dont have the time. lol

Adam lol yep

Ibti, what other 'holes in the market' have you observed?

Adam, there are just so many holes- outside of xawala/ remittance and khat, the rest is wide open. Some areas of course need more investment than others and others dont have the support system to sustain it or the legal structure.

Juxa they scary me with all their swearing and shouting, plus I hate the mother- she has a mouth like drunken East Londoner- cannot believe the names she calls her kids, particularly one named Idil. Child social services or child protection service is so needed here.

NGONGE

^^Ibit, a few years ago I was reading my paper on a bus in North London when I heard a Somali woman's voice shouting "hoyada something something you ungrateful son of zina, etc, etc", I thought someone was swearing at ME. But when I looked up, I saw this young woman swearing at her five year old child. The words she used were very flowery and fantastically rude that I couldn't help but smile at the madness of it all.

I just dont see how those kids will grow up to be anything BUT abnormal dysfunctional, rude criminals. It is not funny. This women is like that too. I've heard her call her kids names and cuss them out with things I would not even say to my worst enemy, stuff that wont even pass your mouth. One of her son is called bastarkii, she is always saying "naa bastarkii xuma meeh" I think even if he is, that is her fault not his, If I ever do speak with her, it will be to lean over the wall and tell her to stop cursing their kids for her falfal xumo. Her daughters I cannot type what she calls them. Iiiish. some people should not have kids.

I told Juxa to sleep it off but she chose to ignore me and listen to the badaws of this world. Serenity, don't be a badow; SLEEP.
:D

The need to just sleep it off dependends on one's age :P

^^ No age, sleep is good for ALL. :D

Ibti, that rubbish is not limited to your neighbour or the woman I've seen on the bus. I'm surprised you have not come across more of it in SL.

p.s.

As I did a random google "surf", I came across a picture of yours on some blog. STAY OUT OF THE SUN, WOMAN. You've become darker than Alpha's soul. :D

Norf, usheeg at times sleeping it off is not an option.

Ibti I have seen those women as well, that is outright abuse walahi. the words they use subxanallah waxad moodaa iney la dagaalayan qof weyn rather than a child. you dont need inaad Sland u tagto, londonba wey buuxaan

Ngonge i would be worried if ibti was 4 shades lighter. dark is good

It may be that the mother got issues, the dad is absent etc; you can check with her nicely and contact elders or other relatives; even in Sland there must be clear cases outside intervention is warranted (besides, you are neighbours and that is like family in Africa).

Abuse is rampant everywhere with Somalis and due to stress, varied pressures and life issues; even in the mosque, rules and police to deal with violence etc is needed.

NORF can not be easily bullied though, save maybe by this climate :D

I am in a hot country. I should be darker Ngonge. Miis you thought I would start bleaching in Africa. My darkness is a sign of Vit D warya, leave me alone.

Juxa dont bother with sun block- all sitting on my desk- I just forget, plus it is sticky and not intended for long term use. I live here, la qabso.

Ngonge it is always shocking, no matter no often you see it.

Abu- She is scary, I feel she will just turn around and say ma adiga ayaa ila daal my kids, get lost. I like the peace, dont want to start a fight.

Ngonge if it is the one Im in a green dress and the security guards? otherwise send me the link. Another thing about SL, ciid walaba wants iney iska ka sawirato and stick it on some website.
