Abu-Salman Posted September 30, 2011 There was yet another wedding next door, a djib/borama one; the women only night costed £ 3000-4000 for hall rental, catering excluded. Now, if one adds up all the costs... The ladies in their sparkling but unorthodox dressing, the youth etc; I was both envying the almost naive joy and grateful not to think in the same way. As for the merrier side, our Borama cousins are very patriots and even the child told me Somalia when I asked him if he visited Djibouti (they basically consider all Somalis one nation wherever country they reside in, not sectarian as Somalis from elsewhere)... NGONGE Posted September 30, 2011 Note to self: Visit the Borama family in North London and gently repremind them for teaching their child that he is from Somalia. End note.

Chocolate and Honey Posted September 30, 2011 Note to NG: please don't get children involved in politics. They're from Somalia, which is a land in Somalia. Happy Friday!! I'm on the verge of stangling my 9th graders. Do start donating incase I need a legal help.

Strangling is a lot more acceptable than qaniinyo. The loony bin baa hore lagaaga dirayaa hadaad qof qaniinto. Yeah, it is one of those days for me where I repeat directions a million times and they ask the same questions a billion times. A smack on the head would straighten them out- if only. NGONGE Posted September 30, 2011 ^^ I love the attention to detail there. The straight look in the eyes always gives the game away.

Chocolate and Honey Posted September 30, 2011 LOL@Malika. Bisinka! Bal cunto iyo wax ha ka cabin guriga. Juxa, yes we do. All of the above reasons and some more are used everyday by my few Somali students. Ileen gurigi buu excuseka yaalaaye. I rather deal with kids though than useless adults.
