Jacaylbaro Posted November 13, 2010 Will Facebook Search Become Google's Competitor ??
Khayr Posted January 5, 2011 You know google has collected billions of data over the years and is primarily a "data search engine". Facebook is primarily a social network and is not structured to become a date search engine. You may be able to find people and companies on facebook but you can not find any and all topics. I will concede to this - Facebook is becoming the address book for millions of people. The catch phrase nowadays is - whats your facebook name or email? Taleexi Posted January 6, 2011 It has a long road to go before it even overtakes Bing, Yahoo and others in the pipe, that is if it ever happens.....
Conspiracy Posted January 6, 2011 We shouldn't care if it overtakes Bing (which powers yahoo search). Its a new exciting technology and its way better then http://www.wolframalpha.com/. We do need a new Google and Slash search is quite capable of becoming that. tI brings you relevant search results and content while Google/Bing brings 1000,000 pages which mostly are irrelevant to your initial search I bet you most users never look at results beyond 1st results page. With slash search you could simply do this for example : global warming /liberal
