nUR, ibn Al Qayyim is truly an inspirational writer, even if you read the english translations. One Sheikh told us that he is reduced to ears when he reads some of Ibn Al Qayyim's writings. May Allah accept and reward the efforts of Ibn Al Qayyim and his teacher Ibn Taymiyah.

I hardly pass off any of Sheikh Ibn ul Qayyims books. My Favorite is Madaarijul Saalikiin, Beyna Manaazil Iyyaaka Nacbudu Wa Iyyaaka Nastaciin ( The Tahddheeb Edition 2 Volumes without weak hadeeths).

There's another book which contains the works of Ibn Qayyim and Al Ghazaali. One of the best books I've ever read. Really good for when you loose touch and need to reconnect.
