Fabregas Posted November 12, 2008 quote:The caravan departs, and the traveller enters into a foreign land. He becomes separated from the habits and customs associated with his homeland. This allows him to ponder carefully over his situation. He seeks the most important thing that helps in his journey to Allah, and that deserves his life's pursuance. http://www.sunnahonline.com/ilm/purification/0054.htm

Fabregas Posted November 13, 2008 nUR, ibn Al Qayyim is truly an inspirational writer, even if you read the english translations. One Sheikh told us that he is reduced to ears when he reads some of Ibn Al Qayyim's writings. May Allah accept and reward the efforts of Ibn Al Qayyim and his teacher Ibn Taymiyah. p.s. the book is called " The Magnificent Journey".

Urban Posted November 14, 2008 Where can I buy his books? What are the most reliable websites for islamic books?
Blessed Posted November 15, 2008 ^Try, http://www.al-hidaayah.co.uk - they have a few booklets on his work. Also try - http://www.dar-us-salam.com . Jizaak Allah for the post BG, I actually have that book, need to read it again. Insha Allah. There's another book which contains the works of Ibn Qayyim and Al Ghazaali. One of the best books I've ever read. Really good for when you loose touch and need to reconnect. You can download from here; The Purification of the Soul and the The Path to Guidance also by Ibn Qayyim. p.s I think we should have an e-book sticky thread...Insha Allah.
