I am sure that every change brings forth some nostalgia of special memories that we will miss forever.

 

The Mogadishu uprisal was the first true popular revolution by the Somali people for the Somali people in which the people got rid of the big monkeys on their backs known as the warlords, these blood sucking lizards were chased out by bare footed kids who had enough of terror and fear over a period of 15 years.

 

For that occasion, I would like to post an Arabic poem by (IBNUL ROOMEY), that best depicts the popular feelings of Somalis about the warlords.

 

 

عشقنا قفا عمر و ان كان وجهه يذكرنا قبح الخيانة و الغدز

 

فتي , وجهه كالهجر لا وصل بعده, و أما قفاه فالوصل بلا هجر

 

 

Somali Transliteration:

 

Cashiqnaa qafaa camrin ( Warlord) wa in kaana wajhuhu

Yudhakirunaa qubxal khiyaanati wal ghadri

 

Fatan, wajhuhu kal hajri laa wasla bacdahu

wa ammaa qafaahu fal waslu bilaa hajrin

 

Somali meaning:

 

Waxaannu jeclaannay sii jeedka camr( Warlord) in kastoo wajigiisuu na xasuusiyo dagid (khiyaano) iyo ( Ghadr) ballan ka bax(inuu adiga kugu soo jesto markaad ka tabar yartahay)

 

Waaa wiil ( warlord) wajigiisu yahay mid ku sifoobay kala tagidda iyo isnicidda ( Somalida), oon aan isu soo laabasho leheyn

 

Laakin siijeedkiisa, waa mid ay ka hadho isjeceyl, isxariirin walaaltinimo leh ( Somalida), oon aanay ka dambeyn kala tagid dambe (inshAllah).

 

 

English Translation:

 

We rejoice and love to see Amr ( Warlord) show us his back

 

As he reminds us tales of deception and back-stabbing

 

He is a kid ( Warlord), whose face is like the Departure Hall, with no hope for reproach,

 

But whenever he leaves, a feeling of reproachful hope is felt with no fear of another separation.

 

 

On another note related to the events in Somalia, I have responded to a story in Hiiraan.com to a reader who had some reservations about the ICU, Moderators of Hiiran for some unknown reason declined to post my comment or reply, whatever the reason, I thought I share my thoughts with our Nomads at Somaliaonline, below was my response:

 

 

Indeed a good read, Brother A. Mohamed's reservation about the article has prompted me to add my comment for the first time in this website and thread ( Hiiraan.com).

Walaalle, The Reality on the ground is that Somalia as a nation has been divided by outsiders imposing on us their regional hegimony, playing one of us on the other along clan lines, resulting in divided allegiances in which each clan trusts those responsible on our predicament instead of their brethern.

 

At last, when the last straw was placed on the back of a loaded Somali Maan Deeq camel, to break our will forver, our Camel Mandeeq, grows an even Superior hump, so strong, it can withstand loads of pressure as a mercy from Allah, the islamic Courts stumbled on seemingly unplanned success, winds of change of heart blew southward, sending shockwaves to all regions, a renewed hope has dawned after a long night of despair by the will of Allah SWT, but because the clan based courts have taken the first step forward, Allah blessed their move by removing the curse of Warlords that was hanging over our heads over a decade.

 

The peaceful regions in of our country should never be disturbed, like they say, "if it aint broken, why fixit it" however, we should all recognize that we as Somalis are a single family and much closer to each other than we are respectively to the Ethiopians who have funded and manipulated the criminal warlords for the past 15 years.

 

Thus, when a Somali is attacked anywhere, we should all all feel hurt, Clan politics should be terminated for good, if the courts phenomena spreads in all of Somalia, we are all indeed the winners, no clan will ever rule over another, Allah will rule us all, as he does not belong to any Somali clan, but all clans belong to him, and who is more just than Allah as a judge for a folk who think with clear minds.

 

The litmus test of the ICU is underway, well wishers like me are praying for their success, while many pseudo-secularists and Anarchists ( As Proxies by Outsiders) are hoping for and planing for their imminent failure, so desparate are these Anarchists that they have to spread lies to use the World Cup Mania to smear the ICU by saying that they are not allowing our kids to watch the world cup games.

 

When it is well known by parents in Mogadushu that blatant Pornography is what was being shown on these make-shift video cinema screens with some footbal sugar coating to attract minors to lewd behaviour and later to get them hooked to drugs to recruit them for the satanic forces fighting for the implementation of sinful living not in tune with Somalia of 2006.

 

The ICU is that last real hope we all have as an alternative, it is a brilliant winning formula and a creative formation that sent our enemies in disarray, deffensive and confused about their choices:

 

1. They can't quarrel with success,

 

2. They can't humble themselves to accept that the Sharia law that silenced the criminal guns in Mogadishu is superior compared to the human made Swiss-Cheess laws ( too many loop holes)

 

3. Even with the material aid of their sponsors, they can't stomach to fight against the fervour, zeal and vigor of a new generation who has narrowed its options to two goals, salvation of Somalia or Paradise.

We are also happy when they ( Warlords) Come back as brothers in faith, repenting to Allah and helping their people in their search for peace.

 

I read at SOL General Forum a news posted by Libaax-san-ka-taabte that Morgan, an ex-Presidential Body Guard turned Warlord who once controlled Kismayo has come to our fold, if the news is true, its indeed a day to celebrate, a soul saved from helfire is a great news, as for skeptics, no one should ever question this man's repentence, he was known to be brave as a fighter, and he was brave to repent to Allah, Let us pray for him and his family's welbeing under a new Somalia, a Somalia of benevolence, trust and justice for all.

 

Let us also pray for Geddi's repentence and that of his boss, inshAllah.

 

Forgivenss and Tolerance, a winning peace formula.

The warlords are back, naturally, we are not happy, but the night is about to raise its curtains for a bright morning, inshAllah, with all of our efforts, and prayers, criminal taritor Warlords shall face justice here on earth before meeting their maker for a final judgement.

Warlords are on the run again, the Somali Mujaahideen are routing the evil bloody warlords and their Ethiopian Masters out of Somalia.

 

So, when this happens, you also read about bad news of the implementation of Sharia here and there, false stories, using the mobs to stage well prepared and financed scenarios of "Harsh" islamic law, to frighten the public and defame Islam.

 

Only a fool, falls for that:

 

Say: NOT MY ISLAM!

 

1. In Islam there is no place in which a minor is punished.

 

2. Stoning Punishment is not meted out to a single woman who never married.

 

3. A Punishment in Sharia requires four adult, responsible people to witness the act in full view that does not leave room for any speculation, we are talking anatomy here, based on the hadeeth that made analogy of the illegal sex act to a finger in a ring.

 

4. Punishment of fornication that meets the above condition for a single woman is whipping some lashes, not stoning at all.

 

5. A Rape victim is not punished, the rapists are. The Ethiopians rape Somali Women all the time, and there is no international outcry! What a hypocracy.

 

This story and the story of the dancers are a well staged propoganda campaign to smear the Islamic Law. But it will not work.

 

 

Now for comparison.

How many crimes committed by Warlords?

 

Of course not, but it happens everyday, no one reports it, its Democracy!

Furthermore, they are back, yet they are more divided and quarrelsome than in 2006. Thanks, a wealth of information, I liked and borrowed " why Democracy is wrong" similar to an old article I wrote titled " Why Democracy does not work" , I added the article to our Democracy discussion page, a very different perspective by all measures indeed, nevertheless very interesting.
