Rokko Posted September 1, 2004 Sxb I'm not sure if you're trying to install the remote access server, or want to enable the routing and remote access service, or setting up a client for Dial-Up Access or Granting Access to Remote Access Servers but here's a helpful link... I'll get you some more tips but in the meantime, be more specific plz. The Link
Haddad Posted September 1, 2004 murefu, please be specific. Where are the ten computers (in same place or apart), and what is being accessed in the server? Files, printer or etc? Usually, in order to attach ten modems into a server, you use a router.
3zma1L Posted September 3, 2004 REMOTE ACCESS SERVER? Well, If you have a Computers that you need to remotely access to files and print services from a remote location, Radmin should be the answer @ http://www.radmin.com/ The latest is Radmin 2.2. I have used many REMOTE ACCESS SERVERS and the best is Radmin. It has many things but security was my main concern. Not satisfied?? http://www.modemhelp.org/termserver.html http://www.georgiasoftworks.com/SystemAdministration.htm If you are not still satisfied, refine your Q's next time and be more specific as haddad said. maajo Posted September 17, 2004 yo murefu in da house..place-kaaga F2 an xalay joogay saxib caruurta kukuyada ad ka dhashana bebuwa ISLII ay dhahoyana waa qangareen.. You'll need 10 lines as the remote users must be able to work. Your options are: ISDN30 with 10 channels 5x ISDN2 lines 10x PSTN analogue lines I'd advise going the ISDN route if at all possible. Take a look at the Eicon options for ISDN PCI cards at - http://www.eicon.com/worldwide/products/MediaGateways/all-in-one.htm If you do need to use analogue lines, speak to your telco about it. They should be able to provide the lines with all the same telephone number - in the UK this is called "auxiliary working". If you need to go analogue, take a look at the Multitech options at: http://www.multitech.com/PRODUCTS/Families/MultiModemISI/
