Jeru- met him back in the day when came over to the UK REAKWON-only built for cuban linx Onyx Gangstarr-moment of truth cd was one of my all time faves Guru Buckshot GROUP HOME- livin proof Mobb Deep so many others i cant rem, but yo i was one crazy hip hop head, kinda toned it down since, still recognise a dope beat tho,lol So wots yr fave beat of all time? ones that stand out for me include Group home's livin proof, premier joint Craig MAck flava in yr ear, even tho J-Lo killed the damn beat with her remix, damn cant u just leave the track alone why she gotta kill it like that? Reakwon-incarcerated scarefaces Meth-Bring da pain Big Pun-cant remember the track Nas- Halftime (its like that, u know its like that, i got in him now u never get the mic back, when i attack there aint no army that can strike back, so i react never calmly on a hype track) like it was 1993 all over again! Section6er Posted October 14, 2003 NAS AND BIG PUN ARE NOT UNDERGROUND!!!!!!!!! THEY ARE MAIN STREAM. IF YOUR RECORD IS PLAYED ON B96 AND OTHER MAJOR RADIO STATION AROUND THE COUNTRY MORE THAN 5 TIMES A DAY, YOU ARE NOT UNDERGROUND. UNDERGROUND BASICALY MEANS REFUSING TO CATER TO THE MAINSTREAM. Pharmo Posted October 16, 2003 6er....ayt i know big pun wasn't a Undaground, but he was seen as one...Lyricly way: -Nas...come on, ONE of the best lyricist all round AND those radio stations ya speaking about is unknown to me.i was listening to my CD. i listen to hiphop which has some nice flawless lyric on it, (not braggers) like my main man, ex-KMD man = MF DOOM, is the one of the best of th best of best........ ####any:: my Q: #### J-LIVE,JAY-Z,J-ZONE: who u think has the best lyrics or can flow better ( not clubwise)????? peaceeeeeeeee
Section6er Posted October 16, 2003 ^^^^^you are confusing two things, underground and lyrics. Having a good flow of lyrics does not make you underground. Jay Z is one of the best lyricist out there now and he is not underground. Nas is a good lyricist and he is not underground. Neing underground is not a skill. Underground is a different movement that doesn't like the way the mainstream has taken hip hop. Underground also means you are not selling alot of records. Pharmo Posted October 20, 2003 Am feelin it.....BUT i was just explaining why i listen to underground...and its because of its mainstain lyrics of rappers that touches me.. (rap wise) BUT being underground litterly means ya didn't make out hugely, right...= commercially BUT being underground means doin music for tha street... Jeru tha damaja broke throught but still seen as a undaground rapper, becus of his street music/fever Jay-z aint doin all street beat, just few and...dispite tha fact he does have some fine lyrics..but they all r commercialy linked. CHECK= i like jay-z, but he aint better and doesn't have better lyrics then J-ZONE; even though jay-z is world recognised of his lyrics and flow.....Ya fellin' - having good lyrics has some influence of being recognised as an UG rapper...ya flowin wit me? Anyway....just if i messed up or didn't catch ya up..hit me one........ PS: f### music, its RAMADAN soon;
