LadyDotNet Posted April 18, 2004 Salaam sis... Those annoying pop ups & viruses.....sister here is what U do. You mentioned that you have anti-virus software loaded on your pc but have you recently updated your virus definitions? its important they are kept up-to-date. This is normally done by visiting the anti-virus software website. Once your definition are up-to-date re-run the scan. Let me know how you get on so I can advise you further. Maymuunah Posted April 22, 2004 Thank you very very much all guys. i did what sister alwayslearning told me and did updated but seems nothing is happening and by the way when it was in the process of updating, it brings all this writing that I have no knowledge about but I did understood one one thing which read like this. "failure....something something...and the last word was server" I seem a little lost right i know I had forgotten what is it said but I think the reason why it said that is may be it is conncected to where I had gotten my virus Scan thing. I didn't loaded this virus scan but rather a freind who works in a cisco company did downloaded it for me. God knows how he did it. the popups...i will check what cawo gave me. she seems to be in favour of it..okey I am joking cawo by the way did we met in SOL users paltalk. by the way it was nice chatting with some of you guys.OG iskawaran walaalo..this lil somali will help you don't worry..lol and before I quit writing..may computer also brings this window up on the screen sometimes which reads like this..."your virtual memory is in very low motion..what the heck is that...and how can i get more memo..by the way my computer is 2000 window so dont assume things like...you got an old computer gabadha..lol
Faheema. Posted April 22, 2004 lol@Sundus If it's FREE then I'm there Seriously though, Avast is pretty good, I was using Norton before and I found it tedious and not so user friendly, but this one updates automatically and it scans your system each time you start your PC As for the Virtual Memory hick-up, your PC needs a bit of TLC lol and Spring cleaning check this link out for a cure.
