Bending the rules for the Arabs?

Asalamu Alaykum common writer's on the Islamic section.

 

I was recently reading a book on women's fatawa.

A certain individual asked whether the removeal of any hair on your arm was approved and the answer to that question was "Yes".

I have always been taught never to remove any hair on your legs and arms.

Was the book bending rules for Arabs? Considering the fact they are hairy?

 

Brothers and sisters please do give your opinion on this matter and what you have been taught and also what the religion says.

Do you mean by never even if it's a must to remove the hair in order to perform a surgery or operation? In that case, whoever always taught you that were wrong.

Thanks to Allah I have never been seriously hurt or injuried. The age of 18 and no surgeries so far. Haddad, do you have anything to prove that you are allowed to remove the hair on your arms/legs? Or is that your opinion?

I did. You gave priority to personal opinions over what one has been taught about Islam. There can be no personal opinions about Islamic teachings, rules, edicts and etc.

is it called rulings pertaining to muslim women?

i'm guessing the book is written by either shaykh saalih al fawzan al fawzan , or The Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Fataawa . if that's the case then you have your questioned answered by senior scholars inshallah.

i don't know about rules being bent for a particular race. besides people describe other races apart from arabs as being hairy as well. and Allaah knows best.

Unforunately I cannot read the exact name of the book. I can only recall "Women's fatawa (Blank)".

And I don't think it was either books you have mentioned.

I have not heard anywhere regarding woman not being "allowed" to shave their arms and legs.

 

Here is a Fatwa from the Permanent Committee for Islaamic Research and Fataawa on the Issue on the Issue of Woman removing facial hair and hair on their legs and arms.

 

A Woman removing facial hair and hair from legs and arms - Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez Ibn Abdullaah Ibn Baaz, Shaykh 'Abdur-Razzaaq 'Afeefee, Shaykh 'Abdullaah Ibn Ghudayyaan

 

From the Answer: "...the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) cursed the one who removed the hair from the eyebrows as well as the one who allowed such hair to be removed. It is (however) permissible for a woman to remove facial hair as well as the hair from her legs and arms."

 

and Allaah, the Most High knows best.
