Paragon Posted June 12, 2002 I think we have seen this Question before posted by CARTAN under poetry section, in somali though . It is isn't that hard to figure out, the addition is done wrongly. add 25 + 2(the bellboy)= 27 + 3(change to men) =
Pujah. Posted June 12, 2002 abdinur are you trying to confuse me now anyway what I said was this cost of room $25 right....the bell boy took $2 and give them $3 back that equals to $30 in my book...so what dollar missing are you talking about? anyway jamaal said it in better way but still I was right
Hibo Posted June 12, 2002 Abdunuur I liked the question, so i had to register as a member to respond to your thread. Hope I am wellcomed here. To answer your question you will have to first calculate the cost of the room whether directly or indirectly paid. Room cost---$25 Tips paid---- 2 (Bellboy scam)whatever u call it. Total cost--$27(money dispensed) Cash paid---$30 therefore Difference----3 which is the monies received. Hope that answered your question Cheers to you all. Abdinuur Posted June 13, 2002 Very tricky, aint it...well...a lot of you were close...gotta give you that...however, you are being mislead by the last statement that says "add the two dollars that the bellboy kept". You don't add the two dollars, you subtract it, which takes you to $25 which is the real cost of the room. Yes the men paid $27 altogether; but the room was $25 and the bellboy kept the other $2.
