Hibo Posted April 22, 2002 I am so terribly looking for a Somali language dictionary. Is there anyone of you here who knows where to get from in UK? I want to buy one if i can find it and if not i wonna borrow it for sometime. I use to have one as a kid, it is some 10 years ago, my dad (allaha-unaxariistee) bought it for us students to use it. This days i keep asking people about but all they are interesting is a English to Somali Dict. Do you know where i can get from? Thank you in advance [This message has been edited by JamaaL-11 (edited 04-22-2002).]

Hibo Posted April 22, 2002 I dont know if they sell it in the UK but try the somali/english dictionary by Warfa Jama Warfa. I use to live by it when my somali was horribly pathetic ...I think I still do
Hibo Posted April 22, 2002 Jamaal There is a whole shelf of books about Somalia (including dictionaries) at SOAS....School of Oriental and African Studies. They won't let u borrow it, but if u go there wit some sort of NUS ID or any other ID wit a pic, u can use their facilities to photocopy wateva u want. I would also recommend all the big libraries....especially Stratford Public Library. SOAS is located at Russell Square, NW1 between Euston and Holborn underground stations. Hope I've helped!
