The old man stopped listening to music during his kcaan-diid era. They taunted him with nationalistic songs :D , the like of it ..quite patronizing. 'Anigu markuu wadanka xasilo ayaan miyuusic dhageysan doonaa' smile.gif . Fair enough.

macangag maxuu music ka kasaa - madaxweeyne aad diplomatic aheeyn ood weli u maleeysid inuu mahbareeynaayo maskax qabiilna wata maa music wax ka yaqaan? yaan loo gafin fanka....

His authoritarian tendency was exposed by both interviews though the Shabeelle Media Network did first-rate job by conducting the interview professionally.. With Yusuf Garaad, it was was another ball-game! more like a chat ...he doesn't like to be interrupted and Yusuf Garaad give him a break perhaps in reverence of his old age. Yeey shows no presidential grace whatsoever!

Abbas-keey! It looks like that Yeey doesn’t understand some basic conventions that a statesman must follow and abide by after he is elected/selected to sit in the chair of the presidency of a nation. When you are president you are not allowed to speak and proceed haphazardly and you cannot appropriate the national influence, leadership and wealth of the country with impunity. You are no more a clan chief but a president, so act like a president! and be above of petty clan squabble, be diplomatic and have a conciliatory tone..

"Dariska [Eithopia] cadaawad Soomaaliya uma heyso" Really! I wish I could believe that.

Gudoomiyaha baarlamaanka "Aqoon ma yaqaan, sharcina ma leh......been ayuu sheegay…………..anigaa madaxweyne ka ah meesha"

So you’re educated and you could not speak Arabic in the Arab league meeting! First ever Arab league member who could not deliver his speech in Arabic. How disgraceful and embarrassing to Somalis. And you knew sharci when you murdered thousands of innocent Somalis simply for their qabiil. And you didn’t lie and bought the votes to get elected?

I wonder why these reporters don’t challenge when you get the chance.

"Hadii loo baahdo dariska [Ethopia] wey imeysaa si ay tabarbar inoo siiyaan." Can you imagine Eithopia training Somali forces! How honest are we to ourselves? Allow noo naxariiso.

He goes on to claim credit on how he made Puntland peaceful. Really! Didn’t he create war and hostile environment and cause separation among Puntland inhabitants? Reer bari and reer Mudug were at the edge of civil war during his administration. Didn’t he cause hostility between Somaliland and Puntland? Thousands of innocent lives were lost under his rule. The record speaks volumes.

Does this man quality to be a president? Who elected him? No doubt Ethiopia elected him for sure. They paid for thousands of dollars for each vote he received. How is he different than Charles Taylor or those butchers of Rwanda?

Will Yeey leave the presidency and turn it over smoothly after his term ends? Or will his old custom reappear? Waa loo joogaa.

Allow kan iyo kuwa la midka ah naga qabo

Harsh words for Shariifka, what will happen if the Shariif is sucked by Yey, it looks that way, but can he do it, cuz the Shariifka enjoys large number of MPs in Xamar and in Nairobi, dhibka ma yaro wallee!

^^^ Sharif does not need to get sacked, he only needs to be given a summary of his job descroption. His job is not to act like the PM or ministers or to make decesions like a memeber of the cabinet...

All in all the old man can talk..

Recap: Somalia’s president interview with BBC

Thu. May 26, 2005 08:30 am.

Somali President

Somali President Mr. Abulahi Y. Ahmed who is now in London, UK made it very clear that Ethiopian troops will come into country if necessary in a long interview he gave to BBC Somali service. Mogadishu warlords accuse him of giving Ethiopia the green light to grab more land from Somalia. He argues the problem is neither Ethiopia nor any other country but the warlords who do not want to ease their grip on power and public domination.

The president sounded very relaxed and was optimist about Somalia’s future throughout the interview.

He reiterated his unhappiness with the Speaker of the House who sided with Mogadishu warlords in a power struggle between the president and the prime minister on one side and many Mogadishu warlords on the other.

“I will start listening to music when the country stabilizes.†He said. The last time he listened to music was a long time ago when he was in jail for being anti-government. He reads books on different subjects including law and the Holly Koran when he has few minutes to spare, no music though.

About Somaliland’s touchy subject, he said I am for unity but let’s solve the southern problem first.
