miles-militis Posted February 12, 2007 With Haydra & Asha Uud at the helm, one could hope for an alternative source of news -- a break, if you will, from the Bush House 'dhidars'. Or is it? VOA Somali Service Tata...
Taako Man Posted February 12, 2007 Hopefully they don't spew clannish hate like Yusuf garaad and co at the BBC Somali Service.
NASSIR Posted February 12, 2007 Somalis have been looking for alternative sources of news and Radio service that can reach a sizable number of Somali people in Somalia. I would also recommend fair selection and hiring of capable correspondents, news anchors, and reporters. Thx Samarui

Taako Man Posted February 12, 2007 Just once at 7 Pm Somali Time which is messed up for Somalis in North America. Especially for those in the West Coast. They probably will expand to 3 time slots like the BBC, Hornafrik, SBC, Radio Galkacyo etc
nuune Posted February 12, 2007 Some old crooks in the picture!
miles-militis Posted February 13, 2007 Xiinow, indeed we shall. Nonetheless, anything is better than the dhidars. Thus far, it was a decent start, and today’s transmission covered 2/3rds of Somalia unlike the dhidars' coverage of not even 0.5 of Somalia. Baydhabo & Kismayo were not covered in today’s transmission, but let us hope that gets amended in future transmissions. Nuune – From the right front: Shiine, Khadra, Asha Uud, Abdalla, Yabarow. From the right back: Jamie (Producer), Fred (Chief editor), Xaraare, Haydra (second in charge). Now, be a good chap and inform us old boy, which ones are the crooks, so we would be on alert for their croockery and daggery? Tata…
NASSIR Posted February 13, 2007 I like Haydra. Two guys I have always admired the remarkable talent and profession with which they reported News: Haydra and Mohamoud Hassan. I hope Mohamoud Hassan comes out of retirement.
