Somalis have been looking for alternative sources of news and Radio service that can reach a sizable number of Somali people in Somalia.

 

I would also recommend fair selection and hiring of capable correspondents, news anchors, and reporters.

Just once at 7 Pm Somali Time which is messed up for Somalis in North America. Especially for those in the West Coast.

 

They probably will expand to 3 time slots like the BBC, Hornafrik, SBC, Radio Galkacyo etc

Nonetheless, anything is better than the dhidars.

Thus far, it was a decent start, and today’s transmission covered 2/3rds of Somalia unlike the dhidars' coverage of not even 0.5 of Somalia.

 

Baydhabo & Kismayo were not covered in today’s transmission, but let us hope that gets amended in future transmissions.

I like Haydra. Two guys I have always admired the remarkable talent and profession with which they reported News: Haydra and Mohamoud Hassan. I hope Mohamoud Hassan comes out of retirement.
