Yonis Posted December 7, 2005 Narrated Ibn Mas’ud (rc) Allah’s Messenger (peace and be upon him) said, “ Whoever recites a latter from Allah’s Book (the Noble Quran), he will be credited with one virtue, and a virtue gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.†[At-Tirmidhi] According to this Hadith, it urges us to recite the Noble Koran and also mentions the great reward for reciting it. So, how about if I just read the English version only, not by reading the one in the Arabic text, is the reward would be as same as reading the Arabic version or not?
