General Duke Posted January 22, 2007 ^^^Saxib, Djibouti's tinpot leader needs to undertsand, that if he keeps playing with Somalias internal affairs, we will hold a reconciliation conference in Mogadishu to help our sister country form a broad based all inclusive government with the JLF, Afar groups and so on. Djibouti is not a utopia by any means.
Abwaan Posted January 22, 2007 looooooool.........What this guy doesnt know is that the guy who actually competed with Mr Ghelle on Djibouti presidency had a special invitation from Islamic Courts in July and August and spent some time with them in Mogadishu while congratulating them in being responsible for the return of peace and stability in and around the capital. He also showed his opposition in the obvious intervention by Meles and his regime in Somali affairs.
General Duke Posted January 23, 2007 ^^^No one competed with Ismael Omar Gulleh, he ran by himself. If I remmeber. Any how there are no Courts any more, my friend you must be living in your own world.

General Duke Posted January 23, 2007 Ismaïl Omar Guelleh (Somali: Ismaaciil Cumar Geelle. Arabic: اسماعيل عُمر جليه) (born November 27, 1947 in Dire Dawa, Ethiopia[1]) is the second president of Djibouti. He succeeded his uncle, Hassan Gouled Aptidon, in 1999. Guelleh won the presidential election of April 1999 with 74% of the vote and took office on May 8.[2] In December 2000 he sacked the chief of staff of the National Police Force, Yacin Yabeh, who shortly afterward unsuccessfully attempted a coup.[3] He was the only candidate in the presidential election in Djibouti held on April 8, 2005.[4] Without a challenger, he won 100% of the ballots cast and was sworn in for a second six-year term, which he said will be his last, on May 7.[5]
General Duke Posted January 23, 2007 Abwan, next time check your facts, the dude is a tinpot dictator with one city under his rule. H einherited it from his Abti and even won an election run by himself. GeelJire, relations can change, Somalia has more land, natural resources and is more startegic than little Djibouti. Mr Gulleh be careful.

Peacenow Posted January 23, 2007 GD, you getting too far ahead of yourself, Explain why is A/Y heading to xthopia tonight? why? Why hasn't he said a word about the innocents that died? Why no compensation to the nomads, killed? Why are the international relief organisations carrying the weigh of all the efforts. Why isn't he touring the ravaged regions? The country is flat broke, no one is expecting him to shower money. All that he us is a man of the people and takes the practical measures necessary for healing. What orders will the exthiopians give him? Probably what to do with Sheikh Sharif, since the americans are keen.

General Duke Posted January 23, 2007 Peace now, The President is in Adis to meet with the Ethiopian, as well as AU leaders. Tonight he is in Kampala meeting the President of Uganda, regarding certain issues. The other questions are invalid, and quite emotive, the country has no money though that will change soon, since the TFG controls all the main ports, airports and the taxe collection will start soon.
